Flashplayer downloading problems

Hello,
laptop tells me i need flashplayer 9 or greater to veiw certain vids or web pages but when i install it nothing happens and i get same message,any help welcome,thanks.

Please explain what you mean by "I get the same message". I can't read your mind and I doubt if anybody else can.
