Hello,
I have a Dlink router, it works fine with my computer, and Kindle Touch, I thought my daughter could use her tiny laptop while visiting, but don't know how to get hers to connect....any idea with this little information?
Thanks,

hi there,

first of all, i assume the wireless is working on your router hence you being able to use it on the kindle etc.

how old is the laptop? does it have a wireless adapter?

Is the wireless turned on? - Check the number keys as they have a different coloured symbol on them for different functions. you'll need to use the Fn key with it. alternatively your laptop might have a wireless switch on it somewhere.

Can you see your wireless network when you search for it on the laptop?

Windows XP - go to start > control panel > network connections > view wireless networks

vista/7 - Bottom right corner theres an image of some ascending bars with a gold star, click that and it will show you available wireless networks.

Also, turn the router off/on.
