No sound on LCD TV - Desktop HDMI connection

I found something new about getting an HDMI device to work hooked up to a laptop. You need to go into control panel under sound then speakers then to "advanced" and uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". After trial and error I finally got sound on my hdtv from an HDMI connection to my laptop for Netflix. I hope this helps other people.

Also you have to go back to sound and set the hdtv as default for this to work. Remember to switch default back when you go to another use.
