Hi, recently I formatted my laptop, and everything is ok but the sound. In control panel it says I have no audio device.

The device description is:
Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M - High Definition Audio Controller PCI

I have Windows xp home edition

I tried in Toshiba site, in Intel site, also the Universal audio drivers of microsoft, and I don't know why but nothing of this worked for me. In Toshiba site I can't even find it. I found a couple of links with my device description for the Intel site, but is no longer available. And the UUA of Microsoft, I download it (with the hotfix link they send you to your email), it asks me in which folder I want to install it, I choose C: but nothing really happens. Even rebooting.

I don't know what to do, please I need help, Pleeeaaaseeeee!

About that.

Go to your device manager and locate the sound card. Is there an X on it?

Also, click right on it to get to its properties, verify that it's truly an Intel 82801.

Hi,

When formatting, often drivers don't get installed.

See if you can download it from this site and install it.

Let me know.
