My computer will not start properly!

My computer screen broke and I got a new screen so I had it replaced. Once the screen was replaced the computer would turn on and the windows xp will turn on and acer aspire would start up but it will not go any further....there was a pin in my hard drive that was a little bent but that was fixed to...am I at a lost cause with this laptop because nothing seems to work....ur help would be greatly appreciated!
