Cpu problem

Hello,
my name is ravi actually i bought a new cpu last week the problem i m facing is tat my when i swith the power button on it gets started after few second it gets switched off i mean the fan rotates for few seconds then it turns off then again a beep sound occurs and again fan gets on this process continues ... do i need to contatct the shop from wher i bought ???
