Hello, i'm currently enrolled in a A+ computer repair class and was wondering about something I accidently came across.i recently bought me a used/refurbished compaq laptop and was having troubles connecting to the internet and now I think I know why but not 100% certain.upon opening up my laptop I saw that I had (2) mini-pci wifi cards installed a intel wm3490abg and a broadcom 1520n only the broadcom is installed in the WWAN slot and the intel is in the WLAN slot so which am I using to get onto the net and will it harm my pc to run a WLAN card in th WWAN SLOT?

the WWAN card is useless if you don't have an account with a phone company. Why not remove the card?

"used/refurbished" normally means that they wiped the fingerprints off the case before they sold it to you.

Good Luck
