1. I have connected two lap tops running windows 7.
2.Both are in same work group and i configured IP in both.
IP in lap A 192.168.1.1
Default gateway 192.168.1.2

IP in lap B 192.168.1.2
Default gateway 192.168.1.1

3. Both laps are now connected and i can see the lap names in the NETWORK
4.I have turned OFF PASSWORD PROTECTION SHARING
5.I set permission as "SHARE WITH EVERYONE " for all drives in both lap.
6.Both lap tops dont have passwords
7.Now i can access data of lap "A" from lap "B".
8. BUT I CANT ACCESS DATA OF LAP "B" FROM "A". The answer i am getting is

"WINDOWS CAN NOT ACCESS\\PC-NAME\DRIVE NAME

you do not have permission to access \\PC_NAME \LOCATION contact your network administrator to request access"

HELP ME OUT PLEASE....

Hello,

Try this 1

Go to the "Security" Tab in the sharing options. In "Group or user names:"

--> Click on "Add" --> In "Enter the object names to select", type Everyone

and click on "Check Names", then click on OK --> Then in "Permissions" section -->

Select your required permissions and click on OK.

Good Luck
