Hello,

Hi ppl,

I have a small doubt with respect to using macros in Excel sheet. My requirement is as below.

I have a large piece of data in cell A1(assume)
part of the data is
..."key=<something1>,value=<expected1>]
key=<something2>,value=<expected2>]
key=<something3>,value=<expected3>]
key=<something4>,value=<expected4>]
key=<something5>,value=<expected5>]..."

My requirement is, in cell b1, i want " key=<something1>,value=<expected1>]
", in b2 i want "key=<something2>,value=<expected2>]" and so on...

So from A1 i need to search for the string "key=<something1>" and once found i gotta copy starting from tat "key" ending in the first closing square bracket wer the search was a success and put it in b1. similarly for b2 and so on

Can someone enlighten me on how i can do the same

Thanks in advance,
Arun

Hi Arun,

Your question is unclear to me.

It looks to me that the value of A1 is the same as B1.

Can you provide some actual data and re-explain waht you want to achieve?

Best regards,
Trowa
