Hello,

I have three workbooks. A, B and C. columns in workbook B are linked to columns in workbook A. Now i want to link one of the columns (eg col D) in workbook C to one of the columns in either workbook B (eg col C) or Workbook A (eg col C) as both contains the same data. However i prefer to link workbook C to Workbook A i,e my source workbook. In any case i am not able to do it.

I tried paste special option to link workbook C ( column D) to workbook B.( column C). But when i do it it pastes data of column D instead of column C of workbook B into column D of Workbook C

Please guide me. Thanks in advance

Hi Tans,

Open both workbooks.
Select a destination cell. Type in =.
Select the other workbook and select the cell you wish to link and hit enter.
Remove the dollar symbols of the formula in the destination cell and drag the formula down as far as needed.

Best regards,
Trowa
