System crash

Hello, I really need help. My comptuter Dell latitude D610 keeps crashing. It gets to the screen just after the dell start up screen and then a error message flashes which I cannot read because it flashes to quick. Then it re-start's and would just keep doing this all day if left to it. I am trying to install windows xp because of havin to re-do it because of a previous malfunction. Please somebody help me :)
