My Built-In Mic is not working

Hello,

My built-in mic is not working and I don't know how to fix it. I have went to control panel, sound, and looked at the devices.

I have the wrong device set as my default device and I can't switch that one to the right one.

For some reason it won't let me. I need to fix this as soon as possible because I cannot record without sound or video chat when needed.

This is all on Windows 7, and I would really appreciate any help that I can get.

System Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.11

Hello,
  • Click on Start > Control Panel > Under "System and Security", click on Find and fix problems
  • Under "Hardware and Sound", click on Troubleshoot audio recording and follow the instructions.
  • If the problem still exists then try updating your audio drivers.
