Mic's Not Working On Skype/Cant Access Record

Ok, so I cant speak on Skype because the mic automatically turns to mute in my computer settings, and when I do uncheck Mute, Skype says my mic is having problems. Plus when I would go to Sounds and Audio Devices Properties > Voice > Voice Recording, I cant access the Advanced tab because its grayed out. Hello,

Please get to your Skype application, click on Tools> Options> Audio settings and see whether the microphone is well set.

You will be able to carry out a free test call too to confirm the matter.

Also check on other applications whether the microphone is working.
