Missing operating system Closed

Hello,  

I have a gateway laptop born in 2009.   I had Win 7 Home on it and the other day it crashed.  I have spent what seems like forever trying to get it to work.  When I turn it on, it tells me "missing operating system".  Sadly, I have no recovery discs and no back-up.   I am in desperate need of getting it back up and running so I can get my college classes done.   Now it tells me that the media driver is not there...Can anyone help me with this? 


Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 537.1

Hello,  

This may be a trouble upon the BIOS settings and in order to get it fixed please get through the instructions provided here.
