Hi amrit007,
You mentioned it is an msd card. Is that a Micro or Mini SD card?
If you are using an adapter for your card possibly that can be the issue as there is a notch which can make the cards read/write protected. Also if the card is password protected using any particular device such as a phone you will not be able to format the card unless the password protection is removed.
