Hello,

I'm having difficulties currently with my Toshiba satellite laptop. I closed the lid last night as I usually do before I go to bed and when I tried to.log in this morning the screen wouldn't turn on. I turned it off, and attempted to restart, and nothing registers on screen, and as far as I know the keyboard isnt working either. I have attempted to do a fix mentioned upon this site in which you must remove the battery and purge the laptop of power, however this has not worked. Are there any other suggestions? Please help

Hello,

When you tried the purge, did you remove the ram sticks ?

What happens if you try to boot in safe mode ?

Can you hear the fan running ?

Have you tried an external monitor ?

I have tried an external monitor, though it doesn't register it on boot up, it never registered my secondary monitor until I imput my password into windows. Unfortunately, as nothing seems to be registering, even if I input the.password, I don't know.if it worked.

This started after I made a modification to torchlight 2, so I think it might have something to do with that, as it was the last thing I did.

I can hear the fan running, almost non stop. I did not pull the ram, as I don't know how that would help, and I don't know how to start the laptop in safe mode without being able to physically see the option to set it. The monitor is completely black.

Once I start up the laptop, if I attempt to press numlock or capslock nothing registers.

I don't know what you mean by "register".

If you can hear the fan, it's because the laptop has booted.

Making modifications to a game would unlikely affect your visual.

Try to boot in safe mode tapping F8, if you don't have a screen then I suggest that you have a graphic card failure.

It doesn't register, as in it doesn't turn on
