How to find the data by entering the data in one cell

Hello,

we are dealing with projects of different colleges. there is a data of more than 1000 students. each time i have to click on the respective sheet of the college and i have to search through the name or student ids whenever i have to edit the data of the students. i want put one cell in the sheet1 (Like "enter the hall ticket number" box in the websites to get the results) which can accept a student id or a cell name which take me to that respective student id or cell name when i enter the id and hit enter. please help in in this regards.
