Password reset in f10 settings on lab top

My lab top on my compaq presario 1500 administrator user is locked out because i forgot
The password so i can't access my computer however i know enough and can get into the security settings but need to know exactly what i go to,power on password,device security,system id,drive lock password? Thanks
