When I attach my flash drive to my laptop, the flash drive starts to become write protected. I can't delete and rename files. But when I attach it to another laptop, its normal. So my laptop is the real problem here. I start searching for solutions to this problem but nothing works. Is there anyone who can help?

If you can access the files, you may be facing a lack of permission to do more than that. You can check the permission level and change it to see if that give you full access to the drive.

1.Go to Computer
2.Right click your thumb drive
3.Click on Properties
4.Click the Security tab
5.Select Everyone and click the Edit button in the dialoge box
6.In the Allow column, check the Full Control box
7.Click Apply and OK

I can't find the security tab in properties. There's only General, Tools, Hardware, Sharing, ReadyBoost and Customize. I think the main cause of this problem is a virus but i already tried scanning my laptop but it cannot be detected. :(
