HOW TO FORMAT PEN DRIVE [Solved/Closed]

Hello,
recently ive buyed a 8gb TOSHIBA pendrive,it was woking fine but later on I could not format it,it is ex-fat...
when I insert my pendrive on the computer then it says tht u need to format your pendrive before u use.but when I format it ,it shows tht windows was unable to format..now its gone useless.so any1 out there please help me as soon as possible...

Hello,
Try this 1
Try to format it from the "Command Prompt".
Click on Start --> Run --> Type cmd and press Enter.
"Command Prompt" will be opened. Here I assume your pen drive letter as g
Now enter the below command.
format /x /q g: ---> Press Enter.
If the problem still exists then enter the command as
format /x /q /FS:FAT32 g: ---> Press Enter.

its showing cluster the file size is too big for fat what should i do now
start-->Run type cmd press enter.
type cd\
enter
format H:
press enter

Hello,

Try this 1

Try to format the drive from the "Disk Management".

Click on Start --> Run --> Type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter.

"Disk Management" will be opened.

Now right-click on your drive --> Select format and follow the instructions.

OR

Try formatting your pen drive using the "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool".

Click on the below link and download the file.
