Blue Screen When Install Windows XP

Hello,

i have got a blue screen when installing windows XP to my laptop. Read the other posts suggest to go to bios to change the compatible hard drive but my Bios is very basic i cannot find anywhere to set the compatibility.

Please help

Can you boot into dos and run chkdsk? Make certain your HDD media is not correupted.

Hi,

This is the second brand new disc i have tried. I think the HDD is fine but will run chkdsk later.

hi all,

it twas the laptop battery, i removed the laptop battery and ran it straight from main and everything is working fine.
