You need to contact your Internet Service Provider. They will help you in setting
up the internet.

the Modem makes the connection to the Internet provider.
A Router manages that connection and allows other computers to share the connection. Some Modems are also Routers and some/most Routers also provide WiFi connections.
Waren cable needs to activate the modem and may need the MAC address to do it.
Waren cable should be able to walk you through the steps you need to do.
