I have a desktop with 1024+256 ddr ram intel original 865gsa motherbord and 500 sata hdd. Everytime I installing Windows XP sp3, after partitioning and formatting a blue screen appears and says hardware problem and use safe mode. I had a PATA and I am replacing the same with SATA with hp dvd rw. Your Cooperation wil highly be appreciated. Thanking you.

Hi debaasish,
Try to change the Hard Drive Controller options in BIOS from AHCI to SATA and then install Windows XP. Refer to the Service Manual/User's guide of the Motherboard for more details. If this doesn't fix the problem, please reply with the exact text or stop code of the Blue Screen that appears.
