Canon MX890 not printing black

Hello,
I have a Canon MX890 that is giving me trouble, and I need help, please. If I print in color (even if it is black//white) it will print blue/purple color for black ink. However, if I print in black, then nothing shows up. I have cleaned the head. It is also showing the new black ink is now empty, right after I replaced it...I need a color printer for my business, and this has me tearing my hair out-almost...any ideas out there? I really need help on this, please, and any ideas are most gratefully accepted. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

I suggest that you delete the software and the printer from your machine. Reinstall the software and update the drivers.

Useless answer. Changing software is very unlikely to fix a hardware problem.

hey there,
I have an hp j3680 inkjet printer. It not printing black although both cartridges are new. I just bought it last month and after some days its not working what do you advice me ?System Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.4

Canon ip2770 prints green instead of black

Hello,
I had a new full Black cartridge, my color cartridge is like 5% only.
I tried Print Settings > Greyscale = still printing green
I tried Devices and Printers > Printer Preferences > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge Settings and chose Black Only = still printing green


Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 37.0
