Hello,

I'm in a real problem. I can access every webpages fro internet but cannot access gmail. This is because of the system time and date in my Xp. I can change date and time instantly to access gmail but on next start of my computer the date is always set to Jan 1, 2003 12:00 AM . Please help me to solve the problem permantly. How to fix this date and time error.

Good Morning,

If your clock is being reset, you need to change out your CMOS battery. If you have never taken a PC apart, take it to a qulaified technician.

Have fun. By the way, if you wish to change it out yourself, and it is a laptop, look for a round device that looks like a coin, pop it out, and put in a new one.

Thank you. for the answer but I've already tried it but the problem still exists..
Is there any way around to get rid of this problem.

you need to change out your CMOS battery.

Than you have a serious issue that any "hobbyist" can fix, take it to a qualified tech.

You said that you tried to change the battery, you must not just try, do it !
