Acer laptop usb!

i have a creativr zen mp3 player, my laptop used to recognise it, but for the last few days, the laptop seems to charge the device but does not let me access it at all, i cant find it portable devices or device manager! someone please help! it charges but on my computer the device doesnt show

Try this

After plugging in the device, go to device manager (In run type "devmgmt.msc") In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the USB drive and restart your system.
Try connecting the device again. I think this should solve the problem. If not, I'm stumped !

hi, when i click on the USB on device manager, it gives me a list of 7 intel R ICH8 family USB universal host controller, 1 USB composite Device and 7 USB Root Hub, erm could you be more specific please, really confused here lol
