Hi,

I recently installed an SSD in my Vaio laptop. After a few weeks I noticed i was running out of space on the HD. I have not added enough to justify what I estimate is about 30 GB of additional space I am using. Any ideas about whats using my memory?

So where are you storing all of this great Music you are creating? Until you mix it down to a compressed finished product, it will stay bloated in the same protocol that the SSD can recognize.

Have FUn!

I must apologize. I confused SSD with a Music production Software. Please disregard, unless you are storing bloated music.

Have Fun, Sorry for any confusion.......

I do have a question though, when formating the drive, what size did you make the blocks? If you are storing a lot of music and simple files, they are always going to be 1mb. So if you made the blocks to be 4096, then a single file is wasting 3096 k of memory. That block cannot store 2 files. For every one you store, you are killing the storage for 3 more if the block is that size.
