AS SSD Benchmark is like a fitness test for your solid-state drive (SSD). It puts your SSD through its paces, measuring its speed, responsiveness, and overall performance. It's like a supercharged speedometer for your storage device, giving you insights into how it handles different types of data and real-world tasks.
What is AS SSD Benchmark?
AS SSD Benchmark is a Windows-based benchmarking application that is designed to measure the performance of solid-state drives (SSDs). It evaluates various aspects of SSD performance, including sequential and random read/write speeds, access time, and IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second).
The benchmark uses a range of data transfer sizes to simulate different real-world usage scenarios and comprehensively assess an SSD's performance.
What are the key features of AS SSD Benchmark?
SSD performance evaluation: AS SSD Benchmark tests various aspects of SSD performance, including sequential and random read/write speeds, access time, and IOPS.
Comprehensive testing: The benchmark uses different data transfer sizes, ranging from small 4K files to large 1GB files, to simulate real-world usage scenarios and provide a comprehensive assessment of SSD performance.
Compression testing: It can also evaluate performance with compressed data, which can be helpful for users who work with compressed files or use SSDs as system drives.
Easy-to-understand results: The benchmark presents results in a user-friendly format, including an overall score that reflects the SSD's performance. It also provides detailed information about the drive, such as firmware version, interface type, and capacity.
Realistic usage simulations: AS SSD Benchmark includes realistic workload simulations, such as copying ISO files or accessing program files, to mimic typical everyday computer usage better.
Quick and lightweight: The benchmark is designed to be quick and lightweight, allowing for easy and efficient testing of SSDs without consuming excessive system resources.
High compatibility: It now supports NVMe SSD, can handle 4K LBA sectors, and offers increased accuracy for fast SSDs.
How to use AS SSD Benchmark?
It is essential to note you should not benchmark your SSD too often as it can damage it permanently.
- Launch AS SSD Benchmark and ensure your SSD is connected to your computer.
- From the dropdown list on the top left part of the interface, select the SSD device you want to benchmark.
- Select all the tests you want to be performed, including Seq, 4k, 4k-64Thrd, and Acc.time.
- Click on Start to start the benchmark, and wait for the results.
Is AS SSD Benchmark free?
Yes, it is completely free to use.
Is AS SSD Benchmark safe?
Yes, it is considered safe to use and comes without viruses. Still, it is important to note you should not benchmark your SSD too often as it can damage your SSD permanently.
