No sound on win xp sp3 realtek audio

Hello everyone,
I'm new here.
I just installed windows XP sp3 - Asus Motherboard P5QPL-AM with Realtek HD audio.
I am unable to get any audio. I have already tried all help i could find on related topic here in the forum. Still, it's not helping at all. I'll be really grateful for any help and would appreciate if you could provide it in 'idiot's proof' format. I'm at my wit's end. Thanks.

some times virous can distrub to instal sound while we instaling /formating new o.s., at that time weshould formate again and use new os. dvd. and some times we need actul driver .it was big problem .but now we can get on free" Driver pack Solution" bootable dvd in web,wecan serch it in GOOGLE. todays we use it for any laptop and desktop in our lab .thanks
