No image on laptop screen

Hello,


Laptop is HP dv 6700.

Once in a while I used to get a problem there was no image on laptop screen. The service centre guy told me that when such an incident occurs take out the battery and run the laptop without the battery . It used to work.

Of late, the problem is occurring more. When I switch on the laptop the panel lights light up.

They go off after a minute and then again after a minute light up automatically.

However there is no image on the screen. This occurs with or without the battery.

A friend has asked me to change the battery.

Since the problem is occurring even when I run the laptop directly on the mains also I wonder whether buying a new battery will solve the problem or not.

Kindly help.

you change your laptop battery....
