I get a blank screen after I tried to recover back to factory settings on my Toshiba Sattlelite L45-A

Plese post a better description of what happeded.

Why did you choose to restore it?

So at what step did it fail?

I tried to do reset to give to my mother and I was able to do f12 and it went into reboot and select proper boot device message. Pressed everything to escape out of only thing that worked was control alt delete and took me to system screen.

OK, when you say system screen, what is that? IS it the DOS prompt?

Why didn't select the boot device when you started the restore?

Have you ever restored the (any) system before? How much PC techie stuff have you done?
