I can't install a flash player on my Mac OX 10.5.8

I have already uninstalled the original flash player And have been trying to reinstall any flash player. I have already gone to my activity monitor and quit processed my dock as I couldn't find my dashboard client process name. I have tried reinstalling the 10.3 version and it just keeps telling me to relaunch it. I don't know what else to do.
