My laptop wont power up

my year old laptop wont turn on, no signs of power at all. before it happend I was playing a movie via hdmi on hdtv I pause it and leave it for and hour and when I got back i thought my laptop was just sleeping but when i turn it on. I got no response at all.

i tried it on battery alone and ac adapter alone but nothing works, also I dont see a problem with the battery, the ac led is lit,I also tried difference wall socket, the cords are free of dust,I also tried the static charge thing I remove the battery and cord then hold the power from 10 seconds to 5 mins,slip the baterry and cord back but it did not work.

tried re installing the ram and hard drive, but still nothing works. the only thing i can think of is a my motherboard dead? but why? I have a cooling pad and I'm just playing movie via hdmi. (the problem is I did not saw how it turned off because I was out, did a blue screen apear? or an error message? ) I really need this fix for my education but I cant afford a repair.
