My laptop frozed and after a restart went to a black screen.

The other day my laptop had frozen, after a couple of minutes of nothing i manually restarted upon turning back on it went to a black screen saying:

Reboot and select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Root device and press a key_'

but now 2 days after it goes to the'Aptio Setup Utility' which lets me only fondle with some of the options not all.

i have a Asus laptop, Series R500A

please help
