A display problem for my lenovo laptop

Hi? i have a lenovo laptop. i closed it down without switching off and placed it in a bag. when i switched it on some time later the screen could not display anything. it was white but i could hear a sound of windows as if restarting, but with no display. when i connect with a desktop it is ok, what could be the problem?

Sounds like a defective screen. Probably not something you can fix yourself.
