Keyboard messed up

Hey guys.
I've got an issue with my keyboard on a Sony laptop
Whenever I press the 'e' key it comes up with 'e5', 'p' comes up with 'p]' and all the numbers are messed up as well; I want to press '1' but it comes up with '12', 3 comes up with '34' and so on. I've already checked the region settings, everything is set appropriately, and my function keys are also all good. The model of my laptop is Sony VGN-AR71E. Open to any suggestions
