It is ok, the software is operating correctly. It is for streaming your own channels, not creating your own content. Please understand you need video editing software for "overlaying" logos and titles and such.
I used VLC for streaming IP to my guest rooms clients, with my own logo on each channel. The content was pulled from my cable box! A little IR receiver to relay the signal to the box, and ONE HAS "IN-HOUSE IP TV"!
