My wifes HP dv7 freaked out when she added foxfire. We got that uninstalled and computer is working again but it shows a dell OS when I look at the system properties. What's up with that?

Strange. You might have a malware attack that is trying to mess with your mind. The only sure way to remove the malware is to restore the PC to its factory state.
