Will i need to purchase a new Hard drive?

Hello,


when i turn on my laptop , the windows logo appears for about 5 seconds then dissappears. i then get an error message telling me it cannot find driver ,i find this strange,
can anyone help i,m gonna try to repair my HP laptop myself, i was told by someone i would need a new hard drive which would cost me �£70

what do i need to do

It's too soon to tell. We would need to know more about you problems. At this point it could just be a problem with Windows.
