Hp pavillion wont turn on

I have read answers from users with the same problem I have, but what happened mine is it fell and broke the charger where it plugs into the laptop. I've got another charger and tried to turn it on but it the on/off button and lights along the top came on briefly and went off again. i could hear the fan start too briefly. I've tried taking the battery out for 30 secs and plugging in the charger but to no avail, could their be another solution?

Hi,

Try to boot your laptop without the battery plug in. connect the charger and Turn it on.

I have tried what you suggested but didn't work my problem was a faulty charger and I have since rectified. Thank you for your suggestion, Kevin
