Hello,
there is probably references to the old installation still lying about on your computer so you'll need to get rid of those before going for another install.
Make sure google chrome is no longer visible in Programs and Features.
Then go to C:\Program Files and/or C:\Program Files (x86) and delete the google chrome folder.
then install Ccleaner and run the cleanup tools. Once it's done that, click on the registry tab and cleanup the registry. Restart and try again.
