I've had my laptop for over 2 years now. It has always worked fine and the sound system worked normally. Then today, I went on and suddenly no sound would play from my headphone jack, but when I unplugged the headphones, sound came out from the speakers. I tried going to: Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Manage Audio Devices and only "Speakers" showed up. I looked up advice on how to fix this on this website and they told me to do those instructions and it worked for everyone else, but I only get the "Speakers" setting showing up when I click "Manage Audio Devices" and it just doesn't sense the headphones. What do I do? Please someone help me!

Hey
Does your headphones work on other devices or computers ?
If so :-
just try to update your sound drivers
if it doesn't work after updating; i'm guessing its from the 3.5mm jack on your computer it might be disrupted or disconnected
