Problems with computer when i start it

Hello, i been having a problem on my computer when i installed win 7. Every time i turn on computer there nothing on dekstop but wallpaper. I needed to restart computer several times to make it work, but now it doesnt work. I looked at other forums and here is what i tried :

Deleting 2 files iexplore.exe and explore.exe.
scanning for viruses.
Bringing up task manager but when i do its just black screen and i cant do anything.
right and change resolution, personal setting,etc
the only option that i didnt try is to delete data past this month but i dont want to do that.
Only thing that works is safe mode.
Please help.
