WINDOWS VISTA UPDATE ISSUE

Hello,


I am experiencing similar problems to some of the posts above. My computer was working fine until the 26th of February 2009. I turned on the pc to find that windows was running updates. At stage 3 of 3 it would reach 93% and then shut doen starting all over again going through stage 1 and 2 successfully but then get to stage 3 of 3 93% and shut down again. I don't know what is happening but it is driving me crazy. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to solve this issue without losing any info on my harddrive.

I have a sony vaio laptop less than 18 months old and use vista.

hi,
since you know the exact date from which you are having the problems, it would be easier to solve it.
do a system restore.
>start
>all programs
>accessories
>system tools
>system restore
when you are in it, set the date to one when you were not heving the probems.
follow the instructions and you will have to restart your computer.
this should work.
