Do you have the recovery CD? I asume you mean the O.S. cd?? It will give you the option to reformat and partition your harddrive when you reinstall

Ok dont shout, if you insert your Os disk and go to the boot menu to boot from cd, then restart your computer. when it boots from the os cd you will get an option to reformat your drive IF you are reinstalling it completly.
