Hello there.
Try the following steps:
1. remove the battery and power cord
2. push and hold down the power button for 45 seconds
3. restore battery and power cord
4. restart the laptop

Like I had mentioned in the beginning, I have done that. I have also checked the battery and the power source of which both work properly. I have tried the power button with both the f8 and fn as well.

Ok well it could be that the battery is dead without u knowing so lets check if your computer gets power at all.
1)check if the power source your connected is working plug a lamp and see if it lights up
2)Carefully inspect the power receptacle on the laptop for damage.
3)Remove your battery and try.
4) Remove any else which is connected to ur pc example pendrive,harddisk.
5)Try a other power source
