Hi, im having problems connecting HP laptop to tv, i have hdmi

There are two things you have to do:
1. change the laptop to display using HDMI output port
2. change the signal source on the TV to use the HDMI input port

Please tell us what you have tried.

not sure how to change laptop to hdmi setting, thanks

Use either the Function key provided by HP to activate the output port or look for the Intel Icon in the Control panel. You might also need to change the audio processing source so that the HDMI cable has the sound. I suggest you find and read the HP manual as these settings vary by HP laptop model.
