The catalyst control center controls your video card settings and has nothing to do with internet settings.
I suggest you restore to a checkpoint before the problems started.

Update the driver:
You should be able to download the latest version of the Catalyst Control Center/drivers for your video card from here:
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx
