You could download Killdisk on another computer. Copy it to a floppy and use it on your computer. Killdisk will erase the hard drive and that should allow you to install any OEM version of Windows XP. Be sure you have a OEM version since the "product code" is not valid for the Home version of Windows. Just Google the name for a download location.
That an OLD SLOW computer - hardly worth the effort to recover. Perhaps Linux is a better OS for you to be using.
