Can i still recover the files after reinstalling window?

Sir, i installed protected folder from IOBIT site i put my files from hard drive D: then i hide them because they are important for me then i was just accidentally compressed he hard drive C: because it says thatbi compressed it save more availble gigs then i compressed itit but is says BOOTMGR Needs an administration to confirm this action but i click yes but it says "error" then suddenly my laptop is freezing so i turn off and now this is the serious problem i just got this message "BOOTMGR IS COMPRESSED PRESS CTRL+ALT+DELETE to restart i di this for how many times and i ask an engineering he says that "it needs to reinstall the computer but dont worry only from local C drive" but i tell him if my files can be recover after reinstall the window 7.
